The basics of Alexander Technique (AT) are simple: Awareness leads to the chance to pause, and from there to move in a new way. The AT teacher guides you through these principles and provides hands-on support, helping you to discover and integrate new ways of thinking and moving in a safe environment.
AT is a structured, personalized way of becoming more aware of how your mind and body affect one another, in stillness and in movement. In an AT lesson, you will practice everyday activities—sitting, standing, walking, etc—with the guidance of your teacher. Your teacher will provide non-judgmental assessment of your movement patterns and gently guide you into healthier, more effective patterns.
